Stephen Hop, Ministry Team Leader

Born and raised in San Jose, Stephen moved to SoCal to attend UCLA in 2005. After graduating with a B.A. in International Development Studies, he began serving on staff with InterVarsity and has been ever since. Stephen spent 6 years serving at UCLA, but in 2015 he and his wife Nancy moved to Riverside and absolutely love it here! While he currently serves as the Ministry Team Leader for UCR, his desire is to see witnessing communities planted and thriving at campuses all throughout the Inland Empire. 

In their free time, you can generally find them chasing after their two year old son Caleb or, if they still have energy after the former (haha), being active somewhere outdoors! Whether it’s running half marathons, hiking the SoCal peaks, or playing just about any kind of sport, they enjoy the fresh air and exercise. They also love hosting game nights, movie nights and any other excuse to cook and share some good food. They look forward to the chance to meet and host you this year!
